Arun is a free page, version 1, built by Ka Vatana, founder of CHNAI LAB. It works out the sun's times and reads a weather forecast. It is not a promise of a clear sky, and it is not run by the temple's authority.

Times and forecasts

The sun's times are arithmetic for a flat horizon at Angkor Wat. Trees, towers and haze make the sun appear later than the time given. The sky is a weather model's forecast: it can be wrong, and it changes as the day comes closer.

Your visit

Opening hours, ticket prices and the rules of the Angkor park are set by its authorities and can change. Check the official seller, Angkor Enterprise, before you go. This page is not affiliated with it.

Data and the right to use it

Weather data by Open-Meteo.com, under the CC BY 4.0 licence, read through its free service for non-commercial use. The solar arithmetic follows the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's published method.

Free to use. No account, no payment and no advertising.

Liability

The page is offered as it is. Its builder is not liable for a missed sunrise, a cloudy morning or a cost that comes from a plan made on these times and forecasts alone.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
